Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Breach handles, and more importantly, what it never touches. Breach was built so that the most sensitive parts of a job search stay where they belong: on your machine.

Breach is a local-first application. Your resumes, portal passwords, and application data are stored locally on your device using AES-256 encryption. We do not sell your data, because we do not have access to it.

2. Information Stored Locally

The desktop application keeps your resumes, cover letters, portal credentials, session cookies, answers to application questions, and your application history in an encrypted database on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum needed to operate your subscription: the email address you sign up with, license status, and billing records processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

Optional, anonymized crash reports and version checks may be sent to keep the app stable. You can disable these in Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment processor. Application portals you automate (such as Workday, Greenhouse, and Lever) receive only the information you configure Breach to submit, directly from your device.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your application data lives on your device, uninstalling Breach removes it. You can also delete your account and billing records at any time by contacting support.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
